About Kolkata Diary
Kolkata Diary is an event discovery app for Kolkata. We list what's happening in the city — festivals, concerts, sports, dining events and everything in between — and show you the details you need to actually go: date, venue, map location and a ticket or registration link when the organiser provides one.
What we list
Events are organised into categories. The current set:
Every category has its own page, so you can browse one type of event at a time — or see everything at once.
How an event page works
Each event gets its own page with the organiser's title, date and time, venue name and address, a map pin where coordinates are available, and the listed price — free events show as free. If the organiser supplies a ticket or registration link, the "Get Tickets" button opens it. If they haven't, the page says so rather than pointing you somewhere that doesn't exist.
Saving events
With a free account you can bookmark events and keep a favourites list, so the events you're interested in are in one place when you come back. Browsing and searching don't require an account.
Where the listings come from
Listings are published to Kolkata Diary by event organisers and partners. We show what they submit — we don't invent events or fill in details we haven't been given. When an event ends, it comes off the active listings. That means an empty category page means there's genuinely nothing on right now, not that we missed something.
The fine print
